PM100CG1B120
1200 V / 100 A Mitsubishi Electric G1 series 6in1 IPM with integrated drive and protection for larger 400 V class drives.
The PM100CG1B120 is a 1200 V / 100 A Mitsubishi Electric intelligent power module in the G1 series, a 6in1 three-phase bridge that integrates the inverter switches, their freewheeling diodes, the drive circuits and the protection in one isolated package. It carries a higher current than the 50 A part from the same package family, so it suits larger general-purpose inverters, industrial servo drives and power-conversion stages that run from a rectified 380 to 480 V AC bus. The 6in1 configuration puts the whole three-phase bridge inside the module, so the power stage is one part plus a microcontroller, with no external isolated gate drive. The integrated protection covers short-circuit, undervoltage and over-temperature conditions, and the module reports a fault for safe shutdown, while built-in current and temperature sensors simplify the control loop. The G1 series uses Mitsubishi Electric's CSTBT chip and an optimized package for low loss and good heat dissipation. Every module is factory-traceable and ships with import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. Designers set the control supply and fault interface, then confirm the thermal path. BeiLuo holds this module in stock and our FAE team supports the interface and thermal design.
FAE Professional Review
The PM100CG1B120 doubles the current of the 50 A part in the same G1 family, so a larger 400 V class drive keeps the simple one-part power stage. The integrated drive and protection make the design straightforward, and the CSTBT chip keeps loss low. Just size the heatsink for 100 A.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose the 100 A IPM?
Choose it when your motor or load needs more than about 50 A on a 400 V class bus, such as a larger general-purpose inverter or an industrial servo drive. It keeps the same 6in1 one-part power stage and integrated protection.
For a smaller load, the PM50CG1A120 is more economical.
How do I set the short-circuit trip?
The module fixes the internal protection, but you select the external current-sense resistor that sets the short-circuit trip level. Size it above the motor peak current with margin but below the module limit, and verify it with a clamped current probe.
Our application note covers the interface.
What thermal design suits a 100 A IPM?
Mount the module flat on a clean, flat heatsink with a thin thermal interface and verify the case temperature at full load. Respect the over-temperature threshold so the protection stays in reserve.
